C.T. Scanning for Dental Implant

Abstract
The first step in formulating a treatment plan for dental rehabilitation using implants must be a determination of sufficient bone quantity and quality to support the implants.
The choice of radiologic technique appropriate for a given patient depends on a number of factors, including the type of implant to be used, the position of the remaining dentition, and the extent to which bone quality or quantity is in question.
The most reliable, accurate radiologic technique is C.T scanning.
It elucidates the exact location of vital stru(ture in which fixture installation should be avoided during implant surgery and gives advantages compared with conventional technique.
In this report, the usage and some advantages of dental C.T scanning in implant dentistry are discussed.
